This Sunday In Pathfinders
Sunday Apr 28th - in the Pathfinders' Classroom
Nancy & Michael Harper will talk about their Mission trip to Kenya. Two Medical Students that were on the trip will also be giving their experiences.
It will be extremely important to start on time (9:30 am) so that we will be able to hear everything before church service. Please set your alarm clocks earlier than normal so that you can be in Pathfinders before 9:30.

Volunteers Needed for Breakfast !!!
BREAKFAST SIGN UP.
Pathfinders continues the tradition of feeding your body and your mind. If anyone would like to offer to bring breakfast please let me know. May 5-12th - Rev. Dr. John Williams. - Lesson From Chadwicks Mill. (Topic: cultural changes in the 60s and onward that changed the trajectory of church membership and what the church looked like before the Christian century and how that information can help us as a church in modernity.) This is an Adult wide Joint Sunday School class held in the Gym.
May 19 - Breakfast Potluck with Topic Discussions/Preferences/Ideas for beginning in the Fall.
Pathfinders begin No Classes Summer Break with May 26th - Memorial Day Weekend.

The Highland Blessing Dinner is back to Sit Down Dinning with assigned Table Hosts and Servers
Every 2nd Thursday of each month is First Presbyterian's night for volunteering.
First Presbyterian Church’s Service Night is Always the 2nd Thursday of every Month.
Go ahead and plan your calendars for Thursday May 9th, 2024
& June 13th / July 11th
Remember to try to be at the Highland Center by 5:00 at the latest as there will be an orientation for All volunteers at that time..
The Dinner will begin 5:30 pm and you should be done and out before 7:00 pm

MEN'S AND WOMEN'S CLOTHING CLOSET OPEN
Men's and Women's Clothing Closets are now open Monday-Friday, 12:00 pm-4:00 pm. Volunteers are requested for opening the closets after 5:00 pm for people who can't shop in the afternoon hours. If you or your organization would like to open the closet at a later time or on a Saturday, please contact Madison in the Highland Center Office, 318-673-8440 or madison.poche@highlancenter.org.

The Hand Up Loan program is designed to help working poor in Highland work toward a better and independent financial future with financial education, loans, free tax preparation, entrepreneurial development, and one-on-one credit counseling. THE FLOWERS for our services each Sunday are generously given by members of our church in memory or in honor of a special person, event, or group.
After the service they may be picked up by the family or left to be delivered to our hospitalized and home bound members. If you are interested in providing flowers, please call Carole Mullen, 318-840-7399. |

On your next trip to the store, why not pick up a spare container of laundry detergent. Our detergent ministry for Hope Connections is always in need of replenishing supplies. Please drop any detergent or other supplies off at Hope Connection on Levy St.
